I have been involved with our food system since my youth. Initially, the focus was on health, which led me to organic products. Later, I was driven by the idea of environmental protection, which also brought me back to ecology. This made me realize the close link between sustainability and health.
During my business studies, it became increasingly clear to me that I was particularly interested in the beginnings of supply chains – the cultivation and extraction of resources. I developed a strong curiosity about how these processes can be designed as ecologically as possible. After my Bachelor’s degree, I therefore decided to devote myself to these topics in a further course of study. This led me to a Master’s degree in “Organic Agriculture” at the University of Kassel/Witzenhausen.
I see the combination of business management expertise and in-depth knowledge of organic farming as considerable added value. It enables me to always think about ecology and economic feasibility together without losing my focus on maximum sustainability. In my Master’s thesis, I delved into the topics of biodiversity and deforestation-free supply chains, which perfectly reflects my interdisciplinary education.
I am convinced that the economy is the greatest lever for a transformation to a sustainable world. This conviction motivates me to work towards this every day. At GfaW, I can put this motivation into practice. Here, I am passionately committed to the independent verification of sustainability promises. Credible certifications are an indispensable tool for protecting consumers from greenwashing and motivating companies to adopt truly sustainable practices.
The integrity and rigor of the GfaW seals impressed me right from the start. The CSE certification in particular clearly stands out from the market with its holistic approach and high standards. As the person responsible for communications and public relations, I am committed to increasing awareness and understanding of our seals. In the role of shareholder, I can also contribute to the continuous development of these certification standards.
In addition to my work at GfaW, I am also involved in freelance projects on sustainable business, biodiversity and deforestation-free supply chains. This additional work complements and supports my commitment to GfaW in equal measure and enables me to contribute and expand my knowledge and experience in different contexts.
My aim is to contribute through my work to an economy that reconciles ecological responsibility and economic success. I am convinced that independent certifications such as those of the GfaW are key to this transformation.
