Prof. Dr. Jens Pape

Head of the Department of Sustainable Management, Eberswalde University of Applied Sciences

Prof. Dr. Jens Pape studied agricultural sciences at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen and the University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart). He qualified as an environmental auditor in 1995 and received his doctorate from the University of Hohenheim in 2002 with a thesis on environmental performance assessment. Since 2008, he has been Professor and Head of the Department of Sustainable Corporate Management in the Agricultural and Food Industry at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE). For 20 years, he has been an appointed member of the Environmental Expert Committee (UGA) at the Federal Ministry for the Environment and DIN NAGUS AA2 (1999 to 2019) and has been a member of the Federal Board of Deutsche Umwelthilfe (DUH) e.V. since 2020.

Prof. Dr. Pape enriches the GfaW Advisory Board through his research and work focus in the areas of sustainability management, evaluation of corporate sustainability performance and sustainability reporting as well as his versatile work in various committees.
