German Council for Sustainable Development awards GfaW label
Certified Sustainable Economics (CSE), the sustainability seal of the
Society for Applied Business Ethics (GfaW), has been awarded the “Werkstatt N-Projekt 2016” quality label
by the German government’s Sustainability Council
. The start-up from
Nordhessen was one of 380 applications to be included among the winners.
The award honors GfaW’s commitment to standards and
consumer protection in the area of sustainability through the CSE seal. The
project, which has already been highlighted by the consumer initiative as the only comprehensive and independent
label, is characterized by its consistent
quality standards and its explicitly dynamic character.
In several working groups for different economic sectors, CSE
is constantly being further developed
by the “pioneers of sustainability” from business and science and aligned with the currently highest possible level of sustainable
management.
GfaW founder Sophie von Lilienfeld-Toal particularly welcomes the public
impact of the sustainability award: “The award gives our efforts
to achieve verifiably sustainable business practices a further boost in the awareness of
companies and consumers. As idealists, we are particularly grateful for this.”
