AURO is one of our NCP customers and is a pioneer in the field of ecological natural paints, wood care and cleaning products. Since its foundation in 1983, the company has continuously worked on the development of high-quality products that offer a unique combination of quality and ecological compatibility.
AURO was founded by Dr. Hermann Fischer, a chemist and initiator of the “Chemiewende”. Dr. Fischer has dedicated his life to the critical examination of chemistry and is actively committed to a more sustainable future. His vision was to develop products that are not only high-performance, but also environmentally friendly and health-friendly.
AURO’s product range includes a variety of paints, varnishes, glazes, oils, waxes, cleaning and care products, all of which are made from natural materials. These products are not only high-performance but also biodegradable, making them an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional chemical products. With its unique combination of quality and ecological focus, AURO has become the market leader in natural paints and is now represented in almost 30 countries worldwide.
Over the years, AURO has achieved numerous milestones, including the introduction of innovative products such as Ecolith lime paints for interiors and facades and the development of a machine tinting system for wall paints and varnishes with consistently mineral pastes. AURO is proud to be the first paint manufacturer to have developed such a tinting system, which makes it possible to produce wall and paint colors in a variety of shades without resorting to environmentally harmful chemicals.
AURO’s philosophy is based on the active protection of biodiversity and the use of renewable resources. By using plants as raw materials and raw materials from mineral sources for production, AURO makes an important contribution to environmental protection and nature conservation. The company attaches great importance to transparency and sustainability along the entire value chain.
In addition to its own activities, AURO is also committed to environmental protection and nature conservation and works together with the German Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU). NABU has been working with great commitment for people and nature for over a hundred years and has broad expertise in this area. Together with AURO, NABU works on projects worldwide, such as improving the situation in the Mkomazi National Park in Tanzania, where conflicts between humans and wild animals occur time and again. Part of AURO’s turnover has also been donated to NABU since 2007.
