Tapir wax goods
In keeping with the philosophy of the small manufactory, Tapir Wachswaren has been producing a wide range of care products for shoes, bags and leather furniture in rural Dassel since 1983 – using only natural raw materials.
The NCP-certified product range includes over 20 natural waxes, oils and pleasant-smelling distillates as well as color pigments, guaranteed free from: Petrochemicals, microplastics, silicones, genetic engineering, fragrances, preservatives and animal testing. In addition, all ingredients are communicated transparently.
Tapir Wachswaren has always followed these principles, regardless of certification according to the CSE and NCP standards. Founder and Managing Director Bodo Rengshausen-Fischbach has always been committed to protecting the environment. This is why raw materials of ecological origin are used as much as possible. The avoidance of plastic is also a fundamental part of the company’s philosophy. This can be seen in the exclusive use of recyclable packaging made of aluminum, tin or glass.
Fair treatment of staff is a matter of course in the manufactory’s day-to-day business. In addition, Tapir gives long-term employees a share in the company’s success as an expression of special appreciation.
Tapir has grown steadily and completely organically over the last few decades and has even been able to position itself internationally with an export quota of 40%. Stable and friendly relationships characterize the cooperation with the importers.
In addition to its company-wide commitment, Tapir is also regularly involved in sustainability projects outside the company. For example, Tapir significantly advanced research into the production of sugar cane wax, which was to be obtained from waste materials from sugar production – with success: the purely vegetable wax from the bagasse of the sugar cane has now made a name for itself as the most sustainable wax and is a permanent part of Tapir’s product range alongside many other exotic products. The completely natural production process does not require any chemical solvents, uses no additional resources and directly increases the added value of the sugar cane plant.
Tapir was therefore quite rightly awarded the “Innovation through research” research seal for its constant creation of new products and alternative raw materials.
