Sometimes it’s about ecology, sometimes about fair working conditions, sometimes about environmental protection. Who the hell is a consumer supposed to be able to see through all that? This is precisely Sophie von Lilienfeld-Toal’s approach. She founded the Society for Applied Business Ethics, or GfaW for short. She uses it to develop standards for non-food products and companies that cover the entire sustainability spectrum. “
