At Biofach and Vivaness, GfaW had its own stand representing the sustainability certification CSE(Certified Sustainable Economics) and the well-known product standards NCS(Natural Cosmetics Standard) and NCP(Nature Care Product Standard). Around 25 companies that are audited according to our standards were also represented at the trade fair. [metaslider id=”3613″]
The new CSE-STAR software tool was also presented this year. All sustainability-oriented entrepreneurs were able to get an initial overview of the tool at the stand. Interest in the CSE sustainability standard and the new digital version and extension (CSE-STAR) has increased significantly compared to previous years – which implies that sustainability is becoming more and more of a leitmotif. The topic of packaging was once again on everyone’s lips this year. Many companies are making a determined effort to switch to recyclate or at least minimize the use of plastic. Naturally, ecologically motivated consumers expect resource-saving packaging and the quality of the packaging can be communicated well at the PoS. From a holistic sustainability perspective, it would be good to see the discussion about plastic extended to other areas of the company such as purchasing and logistics. Our customers Sonett GmbH, ULRICH natürlich and SODASAN Wasch- und Reinigungsmittel GmbH took part in the panel discussion “Unpackaged detergents and cleaning products in retail: how can this work? Companies exchange ideas” on the topic of packaging. An interesting and motivating session was held by the Federal Association of the Green Economy, Alnatura, einhorn products GmbH and Taifun-Tofu on the topic: Entrepreneurs For Future, what significance does Corporate Political Responsibility (CPR) have for the organic sector? It became clear that more and more companies want to see themselves as active players and influencers and are taking on this role with responsibility and heart.
