GfaW is the standard setter for sustainability and product certifications for companies
Our certifications are at the heart of our range of services. This includes the company certification CSE (Certified Sustainable Economics) and three other product certifications: NCP (Nature Care Product), NCS (Natural Cosmetics Standard) and NATURE-THANX.
While CSE certifies the entire company, NCP, NCS and Nature Thanx focus on specific product categories. All four standards aim to promote sustainability and naturalness in various areas of business and product manufacturing.
In working groups we discuss and debate current backgrounds and topics with our customers and experts, which – if necessary – lead to an adjustment of criteria.

Certified Sustainable Economics – Company certification
CSE certification is a cross-industry certificate for companies and organizations that operate sustainably. The CSE seal acts as a quality mark for products from these certified companies. With CSE, credible sustainability is guaranteed and made transparent from company management to the end product.
NCP – Product certification for natural products
NCP (Nature Care Product) is a quality seal for natural-based products. It identifies everyday products such as cleaning agents, hygiene products, gardening supplies, toys and candles that are made from natural ingredients and are produced in an environmentally friendly way.
NCS – Product certification for natural cosmetics
The Natural Cosmetic Standard recognizes cosmetic products that meet strict criteria in terms of ingredients and resource-conserving production. This seal guarantees consumers authentic natural cosmetics without synthetic additives and with a special focus on ecological compatibility.
NATURE THANX – therapeutic support meets naturalness
Nature Thanx (NT) is a quality seal for therapy-supporting natural cosmetics. It identifies products that have been developed to promote physical and mental balance, such as therapy-supporting creams and ointments.
